An old log hunting lodge, converted into a conference cabin for groups of up to 30. You’ll have the entire hunting lodge to yourselves—meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen, a fireplace lounge, a hot tub, and a dock. If there are more than six of you, the neighboring house, Kvitehuset, is also included.
About 95 percent of our guests here are companies attending conferences, kickoff events, or leadership retreats. The cabin is designed for just that: meetings during the day, dinner at the long table in the evening, and a hot tub by the water afterward.

The meeting will be held in the fireplace room. With the tables arranged in a horseshoe shape, there is room for all 30 people, with a projector and a clear view for everyone.

What if everyone is staying overnight?
If you also rent one or more of the cabins on the same property—Lille Bjørn, Store Bjørn, Smia, Bjørkhaug, Røde uthuset, and Brunhuset—there are 79 beds on the farm. We’ll put everything together in a single package, and meetings and meals will be held for everyone together at Jaktslottet.

What is the White House?
Kvitehuset is the white house next door, five meters from Jaktslottet. It isn't rented separately, but is included when there are more than six guests—with 17 additional beds, its own kitchen, and two living rooms. Enter the number of guests when booking, and you'll get the correct price.
The rooms feature bright, painted paneled walls in shades of blue, green, and white, and are named after the people who lived and worked on the farm. Many let those who want to turn in early stay here, while the Hunting Lodge serves as a gathering place for the group for meetings, dinner, and an evening by the fireplace.

Cook dinner yourself
The commercial kitchen at Jaktslottet has two stoves, two cold storage rooms, and a commercial dishwasher—designed for preparing dinner for large groups. Kvitehuset also has its own kitchen.

What do we do after the meetings?
The hunting lodge is located right on the water, with a swimming dock and a wood-fired hot tub on the terrace. Light the fire shortly after you arrive—the hot tub takes about three hours to heat up.
Summer
Swimming from the dock, canoeing and kayaking (750 NOK per day), and guided forest hikes.
Fall
Hikes and photography in the yellow and red forest, and a hot tub in the cool evening air.
Winter
Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and sledding—followed by a cozy evening by the fireplace.

A hunting lodge steeped in history
From 1875 on, Malungen served as a hunting lodge for the trading firm Westye Egeberg & Co. The estate has been inhabited since the 17th century, and the log walls, arched windows, and rooms in Kvitehuset still bear the marks of that history.

Is Jaktslottet suitable for a conference?
Yes. The fireplace room can accommodate 30 people for a meeting with a projector and horseshoe-shaped tables, and the living room can seat 20, so you can split into groups. About 95 percent of our guests at Jaktslottet are businesses.

How far is it from Oslo to Gardermoen?
1.5 hours by car from Oslo and 1 hour from Gardermoen. There is a large parking lot on the farm, including space for buses.
When will we get the White House?
If there are more than six guests, Kvitehuset is included—17 beds in six bedrooms, with two bathrooms, a private kitchen, and two living rooms. If there are six or fewer guests, you’ll stay only at Jaktslottet. Kvitehuset cannot be rented on its own. Enter the number of guests when booking, and you’ll be shown the correct price.
Will the hot tub be warm when we get there?
No, you light it yourselves, and it takes about three hours. Light it shortly after you arrive, and it'll be ready for the evening.
Can we have the food delivered?
Yes. We can arrange catering through our partner—please make arrangements well in advance. If you’d like to prepare the food yourselves, Jaktslottet has a commercial kitchen with two stoves and two cold storage rooms.
Can we bring our dog?
Not at Jaktslottet. Dogs are allowed at the Lille Bjørn cabin on the same property for an additional fee of 750 NOK.

In that case, you'll hold the meeting in the Gildehallen on the same estate, which seats 150, and use the Jaktslottet for dinner and socializing.
