We know what makes for a great cabin trip
Villa Heidi began in 2018 with a single cabin and the idea that a Norwegian nature experience could be more than just a standard, checklist-driven affair. We are Heidi and Tormod—a married couple from Oslo who put their careers in finance and strategy on hold to build something we ourselves would want to live in.
The company has grown to include more than 65 cabins and apartments in Mjøsli Budor, has won two Gaselle Awards as one of Norway’s fastest-growing companies, and has been named a finalist in the 2026 HER Awards for sustainable business.
But what are we most proud of? That our guests keep coming back.
Heidi Strand Tvinnereim
She earned her Master’s in Business in 2010 and spent many years as Head of Demand Planning at Ringnes (part of the Carlsberg Group). She knows what it takes to make large-scale operations run smoothly—and has brought that expertise to the cabin rental business. At Villa Heidi, this means that nothing is left to chance: from cleaning and check-in to which pillows are on the beds.
Tormod Tvinnereim
holds a master’s degree in management with a specialization in marketing and strategy, and has had a career at DnB, Storebrand, and Ford Credit—where he led sales and marketing for all of Europe and was awarded Ford Credit’s Global Management of Excellence Award. He traded the boardroom for something he actually owns. He has no regrets.

Budor
60 minutes from Gardermoen, 650 meters above sea level. Budor snow in the winter, 364 kilometers of cross-country ski trails right outside your door—and peaceful forest surroundings all year round. We have 25 cabins and 11 apartments here, ranging from cozy two-room units to large group accommodations for 16.
Mjøsli
Just 30 minutes from Gardermoen, Mjøsli is located Mjøsli the shores of Mjøsa—Norway’s largest lake. Here you’ll find 31 cabins and glamping tents with panoramic views, private hot tubs, and wood-fired saunas. Perfect for a long weekend, a romantic getaway for two, or a company retreat with room for everyone.
