Konglehytta was the first, and was named one of Norway’s 110 most unique places to stay by Vagabond Reiselyst. Konglehytta 2 came next because not everyone is a couple, and Konglehytta 3 so that your dog can come along, too.

In the heart of Mjøsli's natural surroundings—less than an hour from Oslo
Konglehyttene is located in Mjøsli Lake Mjøsa in the Innlandet region. A car is required—there is no public transportation to the area. The nearest grocery store is Kiwi Minnesund, a 15-minute drive away. You can also order groceries through Oda for delivery to the cabin. There is a self-service kiosk in the reception building that is open 24 hours a day.

Frequently Asked Questions About Konglehyttene
How many people can sleep in the Konglehyttene cabins?
Konglehytta Accommodates 2. Konglehytta 2 and Konglehytta 3 both have a double bed in the cabin and a double bed in a separate annex—for a total of 4. The annex is added as an add-on to the booking when there are three or four of you.
Do the Konglehyttene cabins have a hot tub or sauna?
All three have a private sauna—electric at Konglehytta, wood-fired at Konglehytta 2 and 3. None of them have a hot tub. The sauna is a separate structure next to the cabin, and you have it all to yourself. All have a fire pit on the patio.
Are the Konglehyttene pet-friendly?
Konglehytta 3 is pet-friendly—dogs are welcome. Konglehytta and Konglehytta 2, unfortunately, is not. If you'd like to bring your dog, book Konglehytta 3.
How far is it to Oslo?
It's a 1-hour drive from Oslo and 30 minutes from Gardermoen. Hamar is 30 minutes away. This makes Konglehyttene one of the closest cabin experiences you'll find outside of Oslo.
How does a sauna work?
Konglehytta has an electric sauna—turn it on and wait a little while. Konglehytta 2 and Konglehytta 3 have wood-fired saunas that take about 45 minutes to heat up. Light the fire when you arrive, and it’ll be ready for the evening. You’ll find simple instructions via the QR code in the cabin.
What is included in the price?
Bedding, towels, and basic kitchen supplies are included. Final cleaning is also included. The cabins have a kitchen, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and TV. The annex must be booked separately.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m., check-out is at 11:00 a.m. You'll receive a personal code in advance and check in on your own—you don't need to meet anyone.
Do you need a car, and where is the nearest grocery store?
Yes, a car is necessary. There is no public transportation to Mjøsli. Kiwi Minnesund is 15 minutes away, and you can order groceries through Oda to be delivered directly to the cabin. There is also a 24-hour self-service kiosk in the reception building.
What are some things to do in the area?
Tangen Zoo is 20 minutes away, and Atlungstad Distillery is 30 minutes away. In the winter, it’s a 50-minute drive to the Budor ski resort and the cross-country ski trails there.
