Yes, in seven of the cabins: Bjørka, Hønsehauken, Tiuren, Orrhanen, Bjørnen, Svanen, and apartment 8F. Pets are not allowed in the other cabins, out of consideration for guests with allergies. The network of trails starts right outside the door, so your dog will get plenty of exercise.

Yes. Løvsangeren has a wood-fired hot tub and a private sauna—firewood is included, and the hot tub takes three to four hours to heat up. Villa Budor and Blåbærtoppen have outdoor hot tubs; Lirypa has both a sauna and a hot tub; and Hønsehauken has a sauna with a view of the valley.

Do I need a car to get to Budor?

Yes, you’ll need a car. Public transportation doesn’t go all the way up to the cabins, and the distances between the cabin, the store, and the ski resort are too far to walk with ski gear and groceries. If you’re arriving by plane or train, renting a car is the easiest option—if you pick it up at Gardermoen, you’ll be an hour away from the cabin. Most cabins have parking for two to four cars, and many have electric car chargers.

What can you do at Budor in the summer?

Go swimming in Koiedalen, go biking, hike the Rondanestien trail, have a barbecue at the shelter, and let the kids run along the nature trail. Budor is a year-round destination—summer is just less well-known than winter.
